So last year my family met at Fort Morgan Beach (near Gulf Shores, Alabama) for a week, rented a beach house and enjoyed some time relaxing together. We had so much fun we decided to do it again this year! John, Hosea, and I rode down in my parents’ van with mom, dad, and Gabe. We met Josh, Katie, Trinity, Gracie, Levi, and Millie down there. And Grandma Angie, Papaw Rich joined us every day! We even had the special treat of a visit from one of my cousins, Emily, and her daughter Evie.
Hosea loved playing in the waves with John!
Our community of beach houses also has a couple pools available! We had fun playing games and relaxing there too 🙂
Plus, Hosea got some quality time with his cousins! He loooooves them so much.
And he got to experience glow sticks and fireworks for the first time. My favorite 4th of July yet! We sat on the beach and the fireworks were right above our heads, amazing!
Pop pop found a crab and kept it in a bucket for the kids to see. Hosea was very impressed and gave it extra water, sand, and even a few clams to keep him company.
And a classic family photo to end the post.
We had so much fun and I got to read four different books. FOUR! I read Divergent, Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth, and started both At Home in Mitford, and Growing Givers’ Hearts. All very different from each other but they were for fun, for our 365m classes, and for my doula certification.
Fun trip!! Sad to skip it next year while we’re in N. Ireland.
